Write for us
Meadow Motif welcomes considered contributions about meadow plants, pollinators, habitats, seasonal change, and ways of observing grasslands. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting an unsolicited full article.
What makes a strong pitch
A useful pitch names the central question, explains why it matters to a curious general reader, and shows what the article will cover. We favour a clear, focused subject with a distinct angle over a broad survey of everything about meadows.
Grounded, readable contributions
Proposals should explain unfamiliar terms, separate observation from inference, and avoid claims broader than the supporting material allows. Please identify the kinds of sources or expertise the piece would draw on, and flag any uncertainty or relevant conflicts of interest.
How to propose a piece
Use the Contact page to send a short pitch with a working title, your proposed approach, and a brief account of relevant experience. Include contact details in the form, but do not send confidential information. A proposal is not a promise of publication.
Attention reveals the meadow's pattern
A meadow is made through relationships as much as individual species. Looking patiently helps make those connections easier to see.
